This unit is small (about 2"x3") and it works as advertised. If you have been reading all the positive reviews, they are all correct. I didn't even need the remote that they supplied. I just hope it is sturdy enough for the long haul. Buy it!

I use this to switch between my PS3 and DVD player, on my TV's 2nd HDMI input (the first one is being used by my FiOS box). It works great. There's a 5V DC jack on it, but you don't need it to use it (this doesn't come with a DC wall adapter anyway); it works without external power.
Overall, this is a cheap, effective way to switch between HDMI devices.

This device worked as advertised right out of the box. I primarily wanted a no-hassle HDMI switcher and this works as advertised.
Pro:
- Small & compact (smaller than it even looks in the picture)
- Doesn't require an additional power plug
- Auto-Switch (see below)
- Allows you to use your own HDMI cable to plug into the TV (Pro & Con actually, see below)
Con:
- It does not have it's own HDMI cable like you would get with an HDMI pigtail switch. On the other hand, with the pigtail switch if the HDMI cable ever went faulty you couldn't swap in a new one like you could with this. So it just depends on how much flexibility you want to be able to use your own cable.
- Auto Switch works fine with the video but sometime it requires you to cycle through it once to get the audio back which defeats the purpose of an auto-switch....use the remote and it's not a problem.

This little gadget does exactly what it is supposed to do. It comes with a tiny remote the size of a credit card. I use it to switch my projector between the satellite and Roku (which are both HDMI).
The only small nit-pick I have is that the remote has the numbers in this order 2-1-3 (with 1 slightly above the other two forming a small triangle). So if you are switching in the dark, you have to remember that.

Scenario: 2 HDMI ports on the back of my Panasonic TV but 3 HDMI sources (Blu-Ray, Fios and Roku)
Resolution: FiOS into HDMI port 1 of TV; Switch into TV HDMI port 2 (Blu-Ray and Roku)
When the Blu-Ray player is on, the switch automatically selects Blu-Ray (1080p). When the Blu-Ray is off, it automatically reverts to Roku (1080i) as the primary input with no human intervention required. No remote or external power source is required.
Excellent value.
